Yesterday, Jeremy wrote a great list of tips for back to school shopping now to stock up on gifts for December. Right on cue, my friend Lindsay Klees posted this photo of a back to school teacher gift she created. I imagine changing the ribbon to red and green. This would become a great Christmas gift for a day care provider or teacher. While September is the time we are all thinking about school supplies, fresh items are welcomed in December, too. With some minor modifications, the addition of paintbrushes and paint, this type of gift would please an aspiring artist. Many people have seen similar “cakes” to be presented to the mother-to-be, often called “diaper cakes.” How about a version for a scrapbooking friend or a knitting mother?
Although back to school shopping is always a sore subject for me, my brain is on a roll now that I have studied Lindsay’s creation!
